After just being released on Friday, April 12th, the “Boy With Luv” music video by BTS and featuring Halsey has now surpassed 8 million likes on YouTube. It reached the milestone just three days after the group released their video, making it their fastest music video to do so. “Boy With Luv” joins BTS’ other music videos for “IDOL,” “DNA,” and “FAKE LOVE” to have over 8 million likes, making BTS the first and only artist to have FOUR music videos over that amount.
Apart from achieving an impressive amount of likes, the video broke the YouTube record for accumulating the most amount of views within a 24-hour period with 74. 6 million views respectively. It surpassed the previous record held by BLACKPINK by almost 20 million views for their “Kill This Love” music video. The video reached 56. 7 million views on its release day on Friday, April 5th, just a week before the release of “Boy With Luv.”

BTS will perform “Boy With Luv” live for the first time on Saturday Night Live last week, making them the first South Korean group to ever perform on the show. They will be performing the single live a second time at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 1st, where they will be joined by their collaborator, Halsey.
