Having concluded their ‘LOVE YOURSELF’ series last year, BTS returns on a quest to find one’s true self in their latest series, beginning with ‘Map of the Soul: Persona.’
Map of the Soul: Persona consists of seven tracks that come together to create a well rounded mini album. The tracks nod to their past whilst showcasing the growth of the members and a newfound understanding of life. While Love Yourself’s message was about developing your own self-love, Map of the Soul: Persona is about finding joy in love and reaching out to the world.
Lead single Boy With Luv featuring US pop sensation Halsey is the perfect summer anthem talking on how true strength and love can come from finding joy in the smallest things in life.
The remaining six songs showcase the core of BTS. Another groundbreaking collaboration comes in the form of global superstar Ed Sheeran who assisted in the delicate track ‘Make It Right’. RM opens the album with ‘Intro: Persona’ asking the fundamental question ‘Who am I?’, while in ‘HOME’, BTS finds refuge where their fans are. ‘Jamais Vu’ introduces the first subunit song by J-Hope, Jin and Jungkook and ‘Dionysus’ blasts hip hop beats from start to finish.
While discussing the album the BTS boys stated, “We find strength and happiness in every moment. You’ve given us so much love, and now we want to get to know our fans more. We filled our album with our genuine feelings and the messages that we want to share with you.”
Map of the Soul: Persona is another journey of who these seven boys are and with immediate radio play, a debut stage on SNL tomorrow (April 13th) and a staggering 3 million preorders, this may just be the album to give them their big global nominations during award season.
Map of the Soul: Persona is available worldwide right now. For all the latest on BTS, remember to follow the CelebMix account.
