There was a time when no one knew what or who BTS is. Now, everyone does. With the release of their album “Wings”, BTS not only entered Billboard Top 200 chart, the band also topped its Social 50 chart.
Through sheer hard work and their service to their fans, the band as well as the band members have established a name for themselves. Currently, BTS is ruling K-pop both domestically and internationally. The band’s popularity amongst international fans is almost undefeatable.
BTS’ success has become more evident with the release of the Singer Brand Reputation rankings. Korean Business Research Institute has revealed the overall brand reputations for singers for the month of January 2017. As reported by Soompi,
“For January 2017, BTS came in first place with a total of 15,940,973 points, a 25.52 percent increase from last month’s 12,699,613 points.”
Twice and EXO, the other two highly popular K-pop bands, acquired second and third place respectively. As Soompi reported,
“Second place went to TWICE with a total of 13,818,852 points, which is 8.08 percent less than their December ratings of 15,033,325 points. EXO came in at third place with 13,605,851 points, a 19.30 percent increase from last month’s 11,404,725 points.”

In case you don’t know, BTS aka Bangtan Boys is a South Korean boy band managed by Big Hit Entertainment. It comprises of 7 members including Rap Monster, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and V.
Last week, BTS announced that they will be releasing a new album on February 13th. Wings received appreciation from both the fans as well as the critics. It remains to be seen how well will their new album be received.
