Another member of BTS has released a solo track!
After first teasing the release last week, BTS’ V has finally debuted his self-composed song, “Scenery,” on Soundcloud. Coming in at just under five minutes, the track tells a story of a walk through a park, where the narrator reflects on the present moment and the person walking with him.
The poetic lyrics are performed beautifully by V, whose deep voice adds to the comforting tone of the song. As well as being backed by instruments such as a piano and violin, the lyrics also work with sound effects throughout the piece to give the listener an even more memorable listening experience.
From the very beginning, the track starts with the sounds of wind chimes blowing in the wind, as well as what sounds like V’s breath right before he sings his first note. Throughout the piece, listeners also hear faint camera clicks that represent V taking photographs of the beautiful scenery in front of him, trying to savor every passing moment. The sounds also bring the cover art for “Scenery” to life since the artwork shows the singer taking photographs, one of V’s favorite pastimes.
Fans online immediately reacted to the piece, calling the song “beautiful,” “soothing,” and “calming.” Take a look at some reactions below.
Fans also pointed out that V had hinted the song’s title during a recent BTS concert. While in Singapore, he told fans, “You are all a part of my story, memory, and scenery.”
“Scenery” comes a month after BTS’ Jimin released a solo track of his own called “Promise.” While we love BTS’ music, we also enjoy when the members release solo tracks so we could learn about the members’ individual artistry.
