Call On Sunday – made up of members Sam, Jack, Danny and Martin – have announced their heartbreaking decision to call time on their journey as a four-piece. The band have also announced their final show as a four-piece.

Members Jack and Martin recently unveiled their decision to leave the band, while Dan and Sam will continue as a duo.

Sharing the news on their official Twitter account, the band announced:

‘After years of playing together as a band, we have decided it is time to go our separate ways. Jack and Martin will be leaving Call On Sunday and touring as session artists around the country. Dan and Sam will be continuing writing and releasing new material and getting back on the road under the Call On Sunday name.’

As a celebration of the band’s many achievements during their time together, Call On Sunday have announced a headline show in their home-town, Newcastle.

The band will perform on 20 May at Riverside. With support from Triology and Channy, Call On Sunday have described this upcoming show as ‘a BIG ONE’, performing ‘the biggest set ever played live, including all our favourite original and cover songs we’ve ever played!’

You can check out one of their covers below:

Thanking fans for their support over the years, the band went on to say in their official statement:

‘We can’t say enough how grateful we are for all of the support you have shown us throughout the years and we hope you can all join us for one last time!’

When speaking about the show and reflecting on the time spent together as a band, member Jack said:

‘I’m absolutely buzzing for mine and Martin’s last ever gig with Call On Sunday, not because it’s our last gig, but because we get to share the stage with two of our best mates one last time before we part ways. It’s going to be a huge show, with some great supports and we are doing a crazy, big set with all our best covers and originals. I’ve enjoyed every second of this band. Playing Metro Radio Arena with Ed Sheeran, turning on the Newcastle Christmas lights and playing with our childhood heroes Busted at South Tyneside Bents Park, it’s been one hell of a ride! I just want to say thanks to every single person who has supported us throughout our journey and hope to see them there.’

Both standard and limited VIP tickets are available now and can be bought by clicking here.
