This article contains SPOILERS
Actors Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie, stars in the upcoming film Captain America: Civil War, flown in from the set in Germany to surprise fans at D23 Expo with a teaser trailer for the highly anticipated film.
Unfortunately, the trailer hasn’t been released to the public (yet) but is reported to drop soon.
Civil War follows the aftermath of The Superhuman Registration Act, in which is the mandatory registration of those with abilities in the USA. This resulted in splitting the Superhero community in two, Team Captain America, who are anti-registration, and Team Iron Man, who are pro-registration.
The movie stars some of the world’s most beloved superheroes, such as Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Falcon, Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch, along with many more. Following the Ant-Man post credit scene, it will also star The Winter Soldier himself, Bucky Barnes.
The trailer itself, was shown at D23 Expo to hundreds of screaming fans. According to multiple sources within the expo hall, the trailer has shown to include multiple fight scenes, including The Black Widow taking down multiple men (Black Widow movie anybody?!) and Crossbones vs Captain America. It is action packed and shows Marvel’s newest superhero, The Black Panther (who is said to be neutral in this debate).
It has been speculated on whether or not Spider-Man (Tom Holland) will make an appearance in the movie. Appearing in the original comics, Spider-Man has some iconic parts to play but whether or not he will appear, is not confirmed nor denied.
The teams within this movie will most likely split the Marvel community but even though the teams are 100% confirmed or finalised, we still have a good idea of what the final outcome may be.
Team Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Falcon, Ant-Man
Team Iron Man: Vision, War Machine, Black Widow, Spider-Man
(These are not confirmed and are subject to change)
This movie, if all goes to plan, looks like it could blast onto our cinema screens and top the movie charts for 2016.
Captain America: Civil War is set to release on May 6th (USA).
