For all you hopeless romantics out there, look no further than Cassa Jackson’s brand new ballad, ‘Learning How To Love’.
One half of a long-term relationship, Cassa has turned to the page in order to describe the compromises and learning experiences it takes to keep that flame alive over the years, and, from what we can tell, it’s been working well so far. Jealous? Us?
The accompanying music video, freshly released, shows Cassa performing the song in the woods with a mysterious and poignant atmosphere, writing the lyrics in her diary in her bedroom and then singing them aloud. It makes clear the level of introspection and authenticity her music provides, and it’s a privilege that we are privy to it.
Cassa Jackson is barely out of uni but can already boast a performance role in CW’s Pandora, on which she performed her track ‘He’s No You’. She’s also gained a simply huge fanbase online, as a result of her impromptu singing sessions in her car or the kitchen. It’s this kind of authenticity which has led to her loyal fans following her every step of the way – she’s someone they can rely on to always be honest about her emotions.
‘Learning How To Love’ is a defiant song, one which works directly against the persuasive tug of social media to be unattainably perfect, and proves that beauty and strength in a relationship comes from hard work and dedication. There’s no one quite like Cassa Jackson to put in the work needed, and we’re just lucky that she’s chosen to share this journey with us.
