It was announced today that CBS has picked up two pilot-to-series comedies slated to premiere in the fall. Deadline broke the news today reporting that CBS TV Studios will air what could easily become two of the most watched fan favorite comedies of the year.
Just wait until you hear the premise and cast line up for each show.
While both sound absolutely incredible, one has most certainly peaked our interest. Especially since Harry Styles is now listed as an executive producer for the project.
The description of the untitled Damon Wayans Jr. comedy is as follows, from the network.
‘The multi-camera comedy is about a 30-something couple who reconnects with their more youthful and “cooler selves” when a young pop star moves in with them.’
It’s important to note that a comment was also made by the network that makes sure to tell fans and viewers that while the series is inspired upon the time when Styles bunked with Ben Winston, the characters and storylines are NOT based on actual experiences.
Winston is also billed as part of the production team which will star Felix Mallard, Stephnie Weir, and Chris Parnell alongside Peter Wayans and Amber Stevens West as the couple who house the pop star.
Also picked up is the upcoming Welcome To The Neighborhood which features the ‘nicest guy in the Midwest’ on his journey through life in a tough neighborhood where his kindness isn’t exactly doted upon. It stars Cedric the Entertainer alongside Sheaun McKinney, Tichina Arnold, Dreama Walker, Marcel Spears and Hank Greenspan.
Be on the lookout for more information on these series’ soon. You can also see Harry Styles on his world tour, now.
