Stars from The X Factor US have been on-form lately, one of whom is CeCe who is dropping awesome music that we cannot get over, her new single is titled “Ritual” and we are obsessed. This song follows up the previous track “Little Hell” and both tracks are expected to appear on her forthcoming debut album.
CeCe, full name CeCelia Frey, is best known for coming sixth on the second season of The X Factor US. This season was literally one of the best we have ever watched, not only was Britney Spears on the judging panel, but many contestants went on to become stars, the biggest being Fifth Harmony – other stars include Tate Stevens, Carly Rose, Emblem3, Diamond White, and Bea Miller. After some time, CeCe started to release music, starting off with the awesome track “Dead 2 Me” which is currently her most-streamed single to date. She then followed it up with “Broke AF” which we adored. Last year saw her drop “Chain Of Fools” which was strong and powerful, and this year she released “Never Be” which was just as brilliant. as well as “Little Hell” which blew us away. Now there’s “Ritual” which is creepy making it perfect for Halloween. If these tracks are any testament to her upcoming album, then we know we’re in for a real treat!
This track is certainly inspired by Halloween as the lyrics contain spooky themes and imagery. It has been written by CeCelia Frey and Yawny Blew whilst it has been produced by Jared “ReezyTunez” Thorne and Sean Hamilton. It may be an eerie song what with the lyrics and the backing track, but the producers have done a brilliant job on it to make it catchy and in-line with CeCe’s signature stamp. Once again, her vocals are on point throughout and the lyrics are total fire, telling a story from start to finish and one we can all relate to – the world sure can be cruel to good girls (and boys) who are brokenhearted!
