There are a lot of athletes experiencing their first Olympic Games with Rio in 2016 and Adeline Gray is one of them. From Team USA, she is projected to be the first female take home gold in wrestling and she’s staying focused, motivated, and determined to make it happen.
Adeline is already a three-time World Champion, a two-time World Bronze Medalist, and a 2015 Pan American Games Champion, among many other titles. She is also holding on to a 37-match win streak that she only hopes to continue in Rio, that’s quite a title for someone so young to hold, it’s incredible.
In addition to her athleticism, Adeline is focused on studying for her Bachelor’s Degree, proving that she’s definitely embracing the best of both worlds. Not only does she stay focused in her studies, she thrives as an athlete and sets an example for student-athletes all over the country.
We got to talk to Adeline about her first ever Olympic Games, what she’s most looking forward to, and how she stays motivated and we’ve got to say, she’s quite inspiring.
Adeline seems laid back and confident in not only herself but the entirety of Team USA and she’s proud to be among these other incredible athletes representing the United States in Rio. We’re wishing her the best and hoping that she is able to set a record and bring home Gold for Team USA.
