We are proud to be able to give you a CelebMix exclusive premiere. In three days time, Kit Rice will be releasing his brand new single “Just A Kiss”. The song is an emotional pop-ballad that we just know you will adore. Hear the song before anyone else, here at CelebMix.
Kit Rice may be a familiar face to viewers of The Voice UK, as he was a contestant on the show, last year. He sang “Ain’t No Sunshine” for his Blind Audition, where he got one turn and subsequently was put on Jennifer Hudson’s team. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the next round, The Battles. He was pitted against Jack Bruley, where they sang “Ex-Factor” by Lauryn Hill. Since then, he has been working on his music. This new song is the follow-up to the addicting track “Dance All Night” which was the lead single from his upcoming debut album Konfidence; with “Just A Kiss” being the official second single. The album is due on 25 June 2018. He has also received support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Capital Xtra, and Kiss FM, over the years.
Taking about the new single, Kit Rice said that “Just A Kiss” is, “vocally inspired by the power ballads of the 90s but flipped for 2018! This album is very synth intensive compared to my earlier music, and this is highlighted on this song. The song tells that age-old story of two people connecting instantly; love at first sight. The kind where you can’t stop talking until 3am and time flies by in an instant. This album tells a story and ‘Just A Kiss’ carries on where ‘Dance All Night’ left off”.
Listen To Kit Rice’s Brand New Single “Just A Kiss” Here:
We agree with Kit Rice’s statement about the song. It is a ballad switched up for the 2018 market. Emotional enough that it resonates with every listener, with some deep undeniable lyrics that we find in 90’s ballads. It has a raw quality to it which really allows Kit Rice to delve deep when singing “Just A Kiss”.
He stuns us with his vocals, as he certainly proves his ability in every way. He takes us on a journey through his words and he totally nails the song. He also wrote and produced the track alongside Nigel Walton.
“Just A Kiss” will be available to download and stream as of 23 April 2018. His album is expected on 25 June 2018. For now, feel free to keep pressing that replay button in this exclusive premiere article.
