Here at CelebMix, we love nothing more than introducing our readers to new, up and coming music. In this particular article, we introduce you to Norwegian pop duo KREAM, comprising of brothers Daniel Slettebakken and Markus Slettebakken.
Their career truly kick-started back in 2016, when they co-wrote ‘Taped Up Heart’ with Swedish song-writing duo SHY. The track featured vocals from Clara Mae and was released via Big Beat Records. The song entered Billboard’s Hot/Dance Electronic Songs Chart at number twenty-two.
Further, their single ‘Decisions,’ which featured Maia Wright, also entered the Billboard Dance Chart. They have done countless remixes for the likes of Tove Lo, Anne Marie, KYLE and Kehlani. The talented duo have also toured with Lost Kings.
Most recently, they’ve released a song with 2015 ‘X Factor’ winner Louisa Johnson, titled ‘Ain’t Thinkin’ Bout You,’ along with Eden Prince – the perfect summer anthem!

CelebMix briefly caught up with KREAM to talk about the new single, their musical influences and more.
You’ve recently released your new single ‘Ain’t Thinkin’ Bout You,’ along with Eden Prince and Louisa. How does it feel to have the single released?
“It’s always exciting to put out a song we have worked hard on. On the other hand, on release day, it is quite a nerve-wracking experience to see how people feel about it.”
How did you discover your love for music?
“Since we can remember, music has always been a huge part of our lives. I guess the turning point comes when you realise the only thing you really want to spend time on is creating songs.”
Who are your musical influences?
“Justice, MK, MGMT, Calvin Harris and Robyn come to mind.”
What does the rest of the year have in store for you music-wise? Will there be more music releases – maybe additional singles or an EP?
“We are hoping to put together an EP after the summer, which will be a first for us. This will showcase a new direction for KREAM, so stay tuned!”
Finally, do you have a message for those who support you?
“Just that we hope to meet some of them on tour and hope they vibe with the upcoming music!”
