Exciting stuff! Channel 5 have today released the brand new eye for Celebrity Big Brother this January!
The theme is set to keep the new housemates on their feet as Channel 5 have said that the eye and house design features a vaudeville theatre theme.
Also coming back is X Factor shocker Rylan Clark-Neal who will continue to front the spin off show Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. However, Channel 5 have confirmed that the show will only air on weeknights again.
It seems that Channel 5 are impressed by the ratings from last series live feed as they’ve confirmed that live streaming will continue this series every weekday on Channel 5 and digital channel 5*.
The official press release for the new series is as follows:
Let us entertain you as the stage is set and it’s curtains up for Celebrity Big Brother in January on Channel 5. What lies in store for the cast of new recruits nervously waiting in the wings? Which celebrity housemate will shine in the leading role and win… and who will be evicted as the understudies? Big Brother is hosting a spectacular that will captivate and delight viewers, as they witness brand new housemates adapting to life under the glare of Big Brother’s limelight. Join Emma Willis at the live launch as the celebs are unveiled.
The Big Brother House has undergone a major costume change and housemates will be transported to a striking and theatrical setting which echoes the vaudeville theatres of a bygone era. As they take their cue to enter the House, the celebrities will descend down a majestic staircase, leading to glamorous rooms made up of rich opulent textures and packed with intriguing curiosities.
Big Brother may have set the scene of a decadent, antiquated world, but behind the performance there are hints at a grittier undertone… what lurks in the shadows? The housemates will discover that there will be unwelcome surprises in store. The BB garden has been transformed into a Whitechapel style foggy street scene with a Victorian pub snug which will provide a hidden corner for sharing secrets and backstage backstabbing.
As ever the celebrities will be called to the Diary Room to nominate. Not everyone will be present in the final act, but who will make the curtain call and take the final bow? You decide.
Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On the Side returns weeknights with Rylan Clark-Neal. Joining him will be a variety of celebrity panellists and an audience of CBB fans to debate hot topics, reveal exclusives and go behind the scenes of the main show.
More news is expected over the next few days, so keep an eye out!
