The second season of Celebrity Big Brother just ended and what a season it was!
12 houseguests entered the house and for 29 days they battled it out for the $250,000 grand prize.
After Ricky Williams won the last two HOH’s, he evicted three houseguests and guaranteed himself a spot in the final two. Ultimately, he brought Tamar Braxton with him and she won the game with a vote of 9 to 0. Ricky took home $50,000.
This season made history in more ways than one. First, this was the only time that two African-American people made it to the final two together. Also, this resulted in the first African-American person to win Big Brother.
This season is also only the second time an African- American has made it to the final two, the first being Danielle Reyes in season three.
Tamar also broke the curse of the first person in the door. For those of you unfamiliar with this curse, here it is. Every season up until now (1-20 US, Canada, Over the Top, Celeb, etc.) the first person through the door has NEVER won the game until now.
This is only the second season where someone has won the game unanimously. The first was season 10 where Big Brother legend, Dan Gheesling, won over Memphis Garrett.
Including all of the US seasons, Celebrity, and Over the Top, Tamar is only the 5th woman to win over a man. Both Celebrity seasons have had women win over men.
Tom Green won the title of America’s Favorite and took home $25,000.
Congratulations to everyone! What a season it was.
