It seems like ages since The Apprentice star James Hill won over the nation with his charm, charism and unbelievable good looks to become the winner of Celebrity Big Brother Summer 2015, and if you’ve been missing it as much as we have then we’ve got good news for you…it’s back!
The new series launches on the 5th of January, with Emma Willis once again at the helm and Rylan Clarke staying on for hosting duties on spin off show Bit on the side, and with the reveal of the new eye (picture above!) came the reveal of this years theme: Vaudeville Theatre.
Now, this theme doesn’t seem to be literal as the “Heaven and hell” and “Power trip” themes we’ve had in recent years, which were so important thematically that they became subheadings for the show, so this year it could well be that Vaudeville Theatre is simply representing the aesthetic and interior design of the new house, which has had a luxury make over in preparation for the new arrivals!
On the reveal of the new Vaudeville inspire house, the producer had this to say: “The famous house has undergone a major costume change, and housemates will be transported to a striking and theatrical setting which echoes the vaudeville theatres of a bygone era. The BB garden has been transformed into a Whitechapel style foggy street scene with a Victorian pub snug which will provide a hidden corner for sharing secrets and backstage backstabbing.”
Sounds great to us…well, except for the backstage backstabbing, but it just wouldn’t be Big Brother without that, would it?!
Some big names have been rumoured to be going in this series – amongst them David Gest, who is said to have been offered a payment of 1 million dollars to take up residence there! Gest previously made a splash on ITV’s I’m a celebrity…but Big Brother haven’t been scared to take inspiration from them before, with Kerry Katona, winner Katie Price and “the worlds first Super Model” Janice Dickinson previously having taken a turn at the jungle before moving on to the comforts of Big Brother!
After previous efforts to secure Kris Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner have fallen through, the producers have settled for Kims friend Jonathan Cheban, who is expected to enter the house when the new series starts, alongside actress Daniella Westbrook, Nancy Dell’olio, Darren Day and William Belli from Ru Paul’s Drag Race!
While some sources have claimed that those housemates are pretty much confirmed it’s all just speculation, as are the rumoured housemates Scott Disick, Spencer Matthews, Lady Colin Campbell, Vanilla Ice and Kristina Rihanoff!
After George Shelley went all the way to the I’m A Celebrity final, we’d be surprised if Big Brother producers weren’t trying to secure a second Union J member for the show, possibly Jaymi Hensley, who is known to be a massive fan and has appeared on the Spin off Bit on the Side on many occasions.
With nothing confirmed they’re just rumours for now, but we think this could make a great lineup, and we can’t wait to see who’s really going in when the show kicks off early next year!
