Cheryl has new level of love and respect for Simon

Speaking to the Sunday People, The X Factor judge and one of Simon Cowell’s closest friends, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, spoke about how her boss is coping since the sad loss of his mother.

Simon’s Mother Julie Cowell, sadly passed away earlier this month aged 89, after a nine month illness, which Cowell kept private.

Simon was obviously devastated by his loss, and ITV cancelled some of the X Factor auditions, as Simon came to terms with his devastating loss.

The music mogul has since gone back to work, saying its what his mother would want.

Speaking about Simon, Cheryl has said she admires the way he has coped with his loss.

Cheryl said: “I don’t know how he’s coping, I’ve always admired his strength and tenacity but now I have a whole new level of respect and love for him. He has that British stiff upper lip.”
