Singer and new Dance Captain Cheryl Tweedy showed off her amazing dancing skills at The Greatest Dancer auditions in Birmingham’s ICC at the weekend.
Cheryl, 35, took to the stage with fellow dance captain, and Strictly finalist, Oti Mabuse, to wow crowds with their rendition of the jive. The new show is music mogul Simon Cowell’s latest project he will be producing via his company Syco Entertainment. Tickets were snapped up via ticket site Applause Store last weekend, with fans eager to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars, which include presenters; singer Alesha Dixon, Diversity Star Jordan Banjo, with dance captain, Glee star, Matthew Morrison, joining Cheryl and Oti.

The Geordie Singer wrote to confirm her place as dance captain on her Instagram story, after much speculation, at the start of the auditions, “Hi, so I’ve got some exciting news. I’m going to be joining a new show called The Greatest Dancer for BBC1. “I am going to be joining Oti and Matthew as a dance captain and Alesha and Jordan will be hosting. Stay tuned for more news to my Instagram.”
The shows aim, yes, you have guessed it, is to become The Greatest Dancer. It will be on BBC 1 in early 2019, although a specific date has not been confirmed as of yet.
