Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has confirmed that she is working on a new project for her charity the Cheryl’s Trust.
The Cheryl’s Trust charity was launched by the Geordie singer last January, in partnership with the Prince’s Trust, and is there to help young, unemployed and underprivileged people living in the North East.
Since the foundations launch 14 months ago, Cheryl has been working hard to set up a media youth centre in the heart of the Newcastle city centre. She has fund-raised tirelessly to raise the £2 million needed to open the centre.
The X Factor judge has given proceeds from her perfume sales, held a special competition on the Prizeo website where fans donated money in a bid to win a shopping trip with the kind hearted singer, and were also able to buy merchandise, such as a Cheryl’s Trust T-Shirt.
Cheryl also created a chocolate bar to be sold in aid of the Trust, the Belgian Crunch Bar was sold in Greggs for a limited time last year.
Now after a few months off from fundraising the ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ hitmaker has confirmed she is working on a new project for the charity, and aims to get her ‘Soldiers’ involved.
Replying to a fans question on Instagram, about the work of the trust and how the fundraising is going, the gorgeous Geordie replied saying: “gonna try and get you guys involved soon. I am so proud and so appreciative of your support and the lenghts you’re going to to try and help me is so amazing. Thank you so much to all of you doing things for my trust. Keep an eye out. I am working on something” (sic).
