The two X Factor judges are famous for being best friends and with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini now being an unofficial executive producer on The X Factor, it’s obvious that TV’s ‘Mr Nasty’ values her opinion.
Speaking to James Ingham from the the Daily Star, the Geordie babe spoke about bouncing ideas off of Simon for a new TV show saying:
“I’d love to work with him (Simon) on different TV shows, we’ve discussed various ideas, I have this weird night owl thing where sometimes I get my best ideas at night, sometimes I have forgotten them by the morning but if I remember I ping him over a text”.
Cheryl also spoke about format changes that she wanted made to this years series of X Factor that were unable to be made for various reasons saying:
“I would have had each judge have one contestant from each category but for legal reasons we couldn’t, you’d have to ask the big man upstairs why not. There’s been a few things I wanted but couldn’t. I would also change the weekly themed nights during the live shows, I would not put people in boxes, for me it’s about creating an artist and bringing out the best in them”. There’s no theme for the first week so maybe Simon has listened to me.” Cheryl added.
Last night saw the start of The X Factor live shows with amazing performances from Cheryl’s Groups, Alien Uncovered, Reggie N Bollie and 4th Impact. Rita’s girls also had great performances with Louisa Johnson in particular sounding beautiful. Che Chesterman had a great night for Nick’s boys, with Cheryl saying he has the best vocals the show has ever had. And Simon’s Anton Stephens did well.
And Cheryl was looking stunning in a Stephane Rolland dress.
The live results are on tonight from 8pm on ITV where Little Mix and Ellie Goulding will also be performing.
