Before we tell you all about Citizen Four’s single we’d just like to confirm yes there’s one big Destiny’s Child reference in the song title with a great story behind it. Having been dropping covers online since 2016, before releasing their original track Want You Back earlier this year Citizen Four have regrouped and come back stronger with a re-imagined take on the girl groups 1999 track ‘Say My Name’ with ‘My Name (Say It)’.

We admit we were a little sceptical of hearing what Austin Percario, Mikey Fusco, Conner Boatman and Carson Boatman had done to the iconic track, but we’ll admit we were very pleasantly surprised. The track features the same memorable introduction and the fiery, sing-along chorus but has the quartet’s own take on it which we love.
Sampling songs has become the latest musical fascination with DJ Khaled, Camila Cabello and Machine Gun Kelly being just some of the more modern additions. But how many of these artists can say they’ve had the seal of approval from Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Let’s be honest; probably not many!
