Clean Bandit have claimed the top spot on this week’s UK singles chart, with their Anne-Marie/Sean Paul collaboration, ‘Rockabye’.
The trio ended Little Mix’s reign at number one, with 72,000 combined sales. This was made up of 37,000 downloads and 3.5 million streams.
This is Clean Bandit’s second number one, following ‘Rather Be’ featuring Jess Glynne in 2014. It is their first hit as a trio, following the departure of Neil Amin-Smith last month.
‘Rockabye’ has made a quick rise to the top of the chart. It entered at number 7 three weeks ago, rising to number 3 before reaching number one today.
The band made a welcome return to the charts earlier this year with ‘Tears’, featuring Louisa Johnson. The track peaked at number five on the official charts.
Fans of Clean Bandit will get to hear ‘Rockabye’, ‘Tears’, and more live when they take to the O2 Arena stage on December 3 as part of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball.
