Toronto, Canada-based singer-songwriter and musician Cmagic5 recently dropped her latest delicious pop song, “Dancing On My Heart.”
Written with Jim McGorman (Avril Lavigne, Cher, Gwen Stefani, Shakira, Goo Goo Dolls) and Will Champlin (2x Grammy-winning songwriter), “Dancing On My Heart” took shape remotely amid the pandemic lockdown.

Only 18 years of age, Cmagic5 began performing in musical theatre, dance, and vocal competitions at age four. By the time she was 10 years old, she was writing and producing her own songs. At 13, she wrote and arranged her debut EP, Destiny’s Calling, followed by completing her classical vocal training and working as a vocal mentor.
A multi-instrumentalist, Cmagic5 plays keyboards, piano, guitar, and ukulele, while citing influences such as Nina Simone, Toni Braxton, Miley Cyrus, Bon Jovi, and Christin Aguilera. Her captivating sound blends modern pop elements with futuristic vibes. Combined with her evocative voice, Cmagic5’s music induces deep emotional responses from listeners.
“Dancing On My Heart” follows on the heels of Cmagic5’s album, Ready to Run, which dropped in May 2021 and featured 10 dazzling tracks amalgamating classical, rock, R&B, and reggaeton.

“Dancing On My Heart” opens on low-slung stylish washes of color flowing into a thumping rhythmic pulse topped by Cmagic5’s deluxe voice, imbuing the lyrics with poignant textures as she narrates her heartfelt feelings.
