Whether you’re already a fan of Stanaj or this is your first time hearing of him, you’re lucky to find him before he becomes a huge star in 2017.
Although he has only released one EP, Stanaj has caught the attention of stars such as Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian-West and Jimmy Fallon.
We were given the opportunity to see Stanaj perform December 1 at the Observatory in Santa Ana, CA when he opened up for Somo. Before reading what we thought of the show, check out his debut music video!
The 22-year-old pop R&B singer may have been the opening act at this concert, but every person in the crowd turned into a fan by the end of his set.
He performed every song off his 4-song EP titled The Preview, and also some unreleased songs. He opened the set with a song called “Goddess”, and the crowd was instantly involved.
Stanaj’s powerful vocals and ability to move a crowd showed throughout the entire set, getting the audience to wave their hands along even if they hadn’t heard the song before.
One of his strongest moments came during a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” Stanaj started the song on the piano but eventually moved to center stage, removing his microphone and singing straight to the crowd.
The power and strength in his voice was showcased as it echoed through the venue, while a completely silent crowd watched in awe. Along with some occasional cheers and screams from the audience, Stanaj had the crowd completely captivated.
He performed seven songs in total, including his latest single “Ain’t Love Strange.”
Stanaj’s debut EP The Preview can be found on iTunes and Spotify now! Also, don’t forget to follow him on Twitter and Instagram @Stanaj.
