David Beckham named Sexiest Man Alive, 2015

Seems like Victoria Beckham might just be the luckiest woman alive because her husband David Beckham just scored the People Magazine 2015 title of Sexiest Man Alive.

Last night, on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy first let his live studio audience try to guess who the Sexiest Man Alive was by having a covered David Beckham himself up on a live stream on a screen in front of the audience – answering their numerous questions.

Many questions were asked leading up to the big reveal such as, “Are you an athlete?” and “Are you married to a celebrity?” and the biggest giveaway, “Do you have an accent?”

Finally, when an audience member guesses that the man on the screen behind the mask might possibly be David Beckham, David revealed himself and the People Magazine’s 2015 Sexiest Man Alive was announced to the world – officially. The cover of the new magazine, featuring Beckham tugging on his t-shirt, flashed across the screen as well; prompting an uproar of screams from the audience.

Shortly after People Magazine took to twitter, tweeting

Beckham is used to being praised for his looks, but this award is a happy first for him. David jokes that his children made fun of him when they learned about his new found world title. “It’s a huge honor, and I’m very pleased to accept”, David told PEOPLE. When he told his wife, Victoria, that he was being honored with this award, he says she was instantly right on-board with it. “I would hope that she feels this way about me all the time anyway!” David told PEOPLE, with a shy smile. “But she said, ‘Congratulations!'”

Clearly David is ecstatic about this privilege and looks forward to the attention he will be getting from it. Congratulations David Beckham on this ginormous award! You DEFINITELY deserve it!
