If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years and you’re not familiar with Coachella, we’re here to give you the low down. Coachella is a music and arts festival held in California, in Coachella Valley in the Colorado desert. Since 1999, Coachella’s stage has been graced with acts such as Rage Against The Machine, Coldplay and Snoop Dogg. The festival has grown so popular that the organisers have had to hold the event on two separate weekends to meet the demand of the public.
So, it’s officially that time of the year when we all feel sorry for ourselves whilst scrolling through social media watching the festival season kick off through our screens at home. Sigh. At least we get to see all of the cute outfits all the celebs are wearing to get us in the mood for summer. That’s a plus, right?
With some huge stars such as James Bay, Years and Years and Calvin Harris gearing up to take the Coachella stage this year, the first day got off to a pretty fab and fashionable start!
We had serious envy over popular YouTuber and all round lovely gal Tess Christine when she posted this adorable picture on Instagram. Also, that blue sky is getting us a bit jealous. We won’t even bother with sunglasses until around June time with the off chance that the sun might just appear in the sky.

Kylie Jenner is proving that the pastel hair trend is here to stay! She kept it relatively simple with her outfit of a plain white tee and some denim shorts. She definitely let her hair do the talking!
Actress Bella Thorne went for a less subtle look and piled on the accessories as she headed to the festival. How cool are those chokers?! We haven’t worn them since 1996 so we might not be able to pull them off like Bella does.
Dancer and YouTuber Danielle Peazer rocked some gladiator sandals, plain black shorts, a crop top and a floaty Coachella-esque shirt. We probably wouldn’t get away with those shoes at Glastonbury. Just a life time supply of wellies will do for us.
