“Dead 7,” a 90s boyband Zombie Western film

This is not an April Fool’s joke, 90s boyband members will be coming together for a zombie Western film. We repeat, this NOT an April Fool’s joke!  The zombie Western film, Dead 7, will be premiering on April 1 on the SyFy channel at 8pm, co-produced by Nick Carter and The Asylum who also brought you Sharknado.

Last year, there was talk of some of our most beloved 90s boyband members from Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, 98 Degrees, and O-Town, coming together to create a zombie Western film.  Throughout the year, AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys as well as Nick Carter had been taking to social media, posting pictures of them on set.  All we could do was hope it was true!

Now, we may be ageing ourselves a bit, but the Backstreet Boys vs. *NSYNC rivalry is still very fresh in our minds.  If you were a kid in the 90s, there’s a big chance that at one point or another someone asked you which band you liked better, but from the looks of it, that rivalry has been put to rest.

The film is set in a small town during a zombie plague.  A group of gunslingers will rid the town of zombies, lead by Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter.  Dead 7 will also star Nick’s wife, Lauren Kitt-Carter, as well as a mix of boyband members; Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees, Erik-Michael Estrada, Dan Miller, Trevor Penick, and Jacob Underwood from O-Town, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys, and Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick from *NSYNC.  So all you 90s boyband fans, tune in at 8pm ET/PT on Friday, April 1 to see boybands side by side fighting zombies!  It’s sure to be an interesting and nostalgic time!

Which boyband members are you most excited to see?  Were you team Backstreet Boys or team *NSYNC back in the day?  Leave your comments below and follow @CelebMix on Twitter!
