Hot off the heels of his first solo tour, Derek Hough just released a new song, “Say It Now,” today, July 12th.
Hough is a dancer, singer, actor, and is currently a judge on the NBC show, “World of Dance.”
He first announced the song via social media, enticing fans and finally explaining where his Twitter icon came from, as his picture is the cover art for the song.

“Say It Now” is not the first original song from Hough. In 2017, he released “Hold On,” a song that talks about struggling with the troubles of life and holding on for a better day.
“Say It Now” is about not having enough time to say everything we want to, whether it is telling someone we love them or speaking up for what you believe in, you must say it right now. Maybe this song is about his longtime girlfriend, dancer Hayley Erbert, and all of the things he wants to say to her. Maybe it is just a message of encouragement. Either way, you feel inspired while listening to this song to have the courage and say what you want to say.
It was first performed on July 4th during the Macy’s 4th of July Firework Show. Along with a performance from his tour, Hough premiered the song for the first time ever.
We can’t wait to see what is next for Hough. Whether it’s dancing, singing, judging, or maybe something he has never done before, we know it will be amazing.
