Gert Taberner is a folk rock artist who currently lives in New York after originally growing up in Germany. He first started realizing his musical abilities after he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. It was there that he recognized his skill for being a talented songwriter.
Like many artists, Gert uses music to express his feelings. His music focuses on interpersonal relationships (of or relating to relationships or communication between people.) He tends to write about how there is sometimes a lack of intimacy in the world today, which is understandable, especially in a world that’s highly concentrated and involved with social media. With social media in the picture, sometimes that intimate face to face communication is lost and people forget about what’s really important.
