She’s been stunning fans for the past month with her incredible debut EP titled “Where I Go”, PEARL brings up themes of acceptance and seeing emotions in a positive light. Over four tracks, PEARL showcases her gorgeous vocals, creating chills in every single listener, so it’s not a surprise to see the songs gaining tens of thousands of streams on streaming platforms. The release of this EP acts as the follow-up to her third single “Fish”.
Transporting you to a world of ethereal melodies and vivid imagery, PEARL, a British singer-songwriter and producer, crafts a musical realm where nostalgic synths embrace delicate dream-like vocals, intertwining with her evocative storytelling. Raised amidst the enchanting landscapes of the English countryside, PEARL’s formative years were shaped by building forest dens and exploring the beauty of nature. Her lyrics are a tribute to these natural themes, inviting you into a sonic universe where her classically trained soprano vocals harmonise with synthetic instrumentals, forging a unique auditory tapestry. Rooted in authenticity, PEARL’s name itself holds personal significance as she shares, “PEARL is my birthstone and holds a lot of symbolism for me. I finally feel grounded and sure of myself.” With a growing presence on Spotify editorial playlists, PEARL is carving a distinct niche in the music industry, inviting listeners to venture alongside her into a wondrous musical journey where harmonious symphonies give life to lush landscapes.
Talking about this project, PEARL said: “Music is very visual for me, and I love to create little worlds around it. This EP is verdant, a secret spot in the garden with round velvet chairs, cocooned and warm, with soft edges and lots of plants. I look at the music as biophilic, the synths, drums and production are the architecture, and my voice, the organic sounds, and the lyrics are the green and natural elements that run through…I’ve always had an overactive imagination!”

Recorded and co-produced at Urchin Studios with Matt Ingram, this EP combines indie-pop with alt-pop and synth-pop, traversing between the genres effortlessly. The EP kickstarts with “Go!”, a progressive indie-pop song that hones in on PEARL’s soprano vocals showcasing who she is as an artist from the very start. The backing track rises to a slight upbeat as she launches into the uniquely addictive chorus that just shows exactly why she’s a rising star in the music industry. “Years” follows next, which is the previously unheard track from the EP as the other three songs have previously been released as singles. This one is synth-pop heavy giving an intricate backing track that only amplifies PEARL’s classically-trained vocals, creating a nostalgic ’00s synth-pop sound that we cannot get enough of.
The third track on the EP is “Fish”, twisting up the vibe and adding in alt-pop with some prominent drums that wrap brilliantly around PEARL’s awesome vocals. She dives into storytelling descriptive lyrics about what seems to be a hospital and a ward, however, the focus is on the fish that are swimming in the tank and how she wants to set them free. It’s an introspective masterpiece of a song with an iconic chorus that is set to stay with us, making a huge sweeping statement and making sure we never forget this song. Incredible and humbling, “Fish” is a total stand-out track on this EP. “Words” ends this EP, which strips it all back allowing PEARL to completely shine with her gorgeous and unforgettable vocals. She holds so much emotion in her words and the way she hits and holds those high notes is truly incredible. As an indie-pop ballad, “Words” ends this EP by blowing the listener away. Simply, WOW!
