Last week, Raluka dropped a brand new single and music video, titled “Undone”, and we are living for it. The song is her first release in 2018 and follows her previous single “Cine sunt eu“. She recently won the Romanian TV reality show Asia Express, alongside team-mate Ana Banici.
Raluka, real name Raluca Nistor, had a successful music career when she started out, grabbing Romanian chart hits as a featured collaborator on DJ Sava’s tracks, which led to her releasing catchy solo tracks that also hit the charts hard. In recent years, she’s gained popularity on socials although chart numbers have dwindled. She and Ana Banici became contestants on Asia Express, a new tough Romanian reality show, after sister duo Nicoleta and Iuliana Luciu withdrew. The show saw 18 celebrities (9 teams) compete with each other in a race across Asia with a travel budget of one dollar a day! Raluka and Ana Banici won the whole thing.
This song follows Raluka’s win on the show, so naturally, you would think this song would come as a hit, but it’s received the same popularity as her other recent songs; we need Raluka to go viral because this song is pure fire. The lyrics were written by Irina Rimes and Nicoleta Gavrilita; while the music was created by Irina Rimes, Sebastian Barac, and Marcel Botezan. As for the music video, it was directed by Bogdan Paul, while Alexandru Muresan acted as director of photography.

The song is all about being strong in a relationship that is falling to pieces. She doesn’t know whether to leave or stay and this song captures that very moment. Raluka’s voice is perfection in every way, as she nails the riffs and brings emotion throughout.
As for the music video, it has a female empowerment vibe about it, similar to Dua Lipa’s “New Rules“. The first half sees her bringing sex appeal, which we are used from her now and she is the central character purely because of her fierce red hair. As the video goes on, she joins the girls at the pool for some on-point dance choreography; this is what we’ve been waiting for from Raluka for a while and she sure has delivered.
The concept is brilliant and the song is beyond catchy, Raluka is one Romanian singer that needs more recognition and deserves success. “Undone” is available to download and stream right now.
