DISCOVER: “Warm Whiskey Nights” by Country/Rock Artist Justin Ryan

Justin Ryan is a solo country rock artist from Maryland who plays the electric and acoustic guitar, all while doing his own vocals.

His musical journey started when he picked up the guitar when he was just 12 years old, due to being in such a musical family. Since then, he’s been playing and writing music which gave him all the experience he would need to become a star in the future. He grew up listening to classical music, his mothers vinyl albums, pop music, rock music, and basically anything he could get his hands on.

Justin started his music career officially in 2001 in a four piece acoustic rock band called All Together Spent, while doing some solo work on the side starting in 2008. After signing a management deal, the band toured the east coast for about five years and were then presented the opportunity to travel the world playing for troops as a part of the Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) tour. In 2010, the band broke up and Justin was in a duo called Ryful. It was after the duo that he then began a solo artist.

Being a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), some of his co-written songs made their way to artists such as Rascal Flatts, creative licensing directors at multiple publishing companies, and multiple online music libraries.

As a solo artist, Justin had all the experience he needed to release his first solo album, Warm Whiskey Nights, which was produced and mixed by Pete Hanlon in Woodstock, New York.

You can find his album Warm Whiskey Nights available on iTunes HERE.

Written by Melanie Gomez

My name is Melanie Gomez (25) and I graduated with a BA in print journalism with music management as my minor. I loved music since I was a kid because it was always a way my family and I bonded, as well as a way to express myself on my own time as I got older. I’m not a singer and I don’t play an instrument, so my way of being part of the music industry is by getting to write about the music I love in various reviews and through my concert photography. Another goal? To make people smile.
