We had literally forgotten how much we love this song until today when we listened to this refresh cover. DJ Antoine & Dizkodude follow in the footsteps of many great DJs by refreshing a track from the past, with the help of Sibbyl.
“I Love Your Smile” was originally sung by Shanice and released in 1991; it charted all around the world and even hit number two on the UK Official Singles Chart, the US Billboard Hot 100, the Canadian Singles Chart, the German Singles Chart, and the Norweigan Singles Chart. The songwriters of the song are Jarvis La Rue Baker, Sylvester Jackson, Narada Michael Walden, and Shanice Wilson.
We’ve had a range of songs refreshed for today’s market, and this is just another to add to the collection. This deserves to go viral around the world. The video was directed by Haris Dubica.

The song speeds up the track and makes it one we need to hear on a night out, for sure. As for the music video itself, we watch the start of something special between a man and a woman – played by real life couple DJ Antoine and Laura Zurbriggen. Teasingly, she leads him through various rooms. At the end, she’s holding the rose waiting for him.
It’s a sweet music video, one we keep watching again and again. Is there a particular room that’s your favourite? We like the drag queen room with the luscious red walls, we love the club room, and the bowling room, and we can’t forget about the songwriting room where we see drawings of Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, and Bob Marley all at a table writing a song together – imagine what that outcome would be if it were possible.
We love the fact that in each room the couple’s clothes change accordingly. As well as that, the guy gets distracted via the various scenes. The whole music video is well thought out and works with the song in every way.
The song was released on Houseworks Records – which was founded by DJ Antoine himself. The video was sponsored by various brands that can be found within in the visuals, including Konrad Lifestyle, Paparazzi Brand Nightlife, and Bachmann. The video was filmed at Atlantis by Giardino in Zürich, Germany.
