Dodie, otherwise known as Dodie Clark or doddleoddle, has announced that her debut EP, called “Intertwined”, is up for preorder now!
Dodie made a super cute announcement video on her YouTube channel with the help of a couple friends.
The EP will be released on November 18th, 2016. The current cover art, which features an artistic rendering of Dodie’s eyes, will not be the final cover. She has released the EP under the name “Dodie”, an interesting rebrand from her full name, Dodie Clark, or her YouTube moniker “doddleoddle”.
One song from the EP, Sick of Losing Soulmates, is already available to listen to! Dodie wrote the song and posted it on her channel almost a year ago, and now we finally get to hear a studio version. The production, which is complete with echoey sounds and rain background noise, definitely enhances the song and its meaning. Dodie’s vocals are on point, and sound even fuller and more confident than the version on her YouTube channel.
In fact, this is the first time we have heard a professional studio version of any of Dodie’s songs. We’re so proud of her for making the difficult, gradual transition from YouTube to mainstream music, so that even more people can be exposed to her talent!
So the EP. Holy Moly. I’ve been working on this for a while. I’m terrified. I hope you like it.
The tracklist of the EP has also been unveiled, and it looks super exciting.

Four out of the six songs have been posted on Dodie’s YouTube channel already, but it’s interesting to see the direction she took with recording them in a studio. The two songs that will remain a mystery until November 18th are Life Lesson and When. All we know is that Life Lesson is a 22 second long interlude, and When is a song that Dodie has performed live a few times.
Fans everywhere were hyped that Dodie is finally coming out with an EP. In certain countries, it ranked near the top of the bestselling preorder list on iTunes! Then, fans trended #preorderintertwinedonitunes on Twitter yesterday.
