Don Broco have released a video game, inspired by their latest single ‘Technology’.
Designed by Winwood Laboratories, the game allows fans to play as either Rob, Si, Matt or Tom. The aim of the game is to combat the pesky aliens and cowboys who have invaded the band’s Alexandra Palace show and abducted their fans. If you’re a fan of Super Mario then you’ll love this game, as it emulates the vintage Nintendo-style. Better still, the game is soundtracked by a new 8-bit remix of ‘Technology’ by producer and DJ AZODi!
The video follows on from the music video for ‘Technology’, in which frontman Rob said: “We’re all addicted to our phones, so for the video we thought it would be fun to see if an alien invasion was enough for us to put the phones down for a minute… turns out it’s not.” Speaking about the video game, he added: “In the video game you get to fight off the alien army as each band member and I shoot microphones out my hands which is pretty awesome.”
Not only is the game a bundle of fun, but Don Broco will be giving prizes to fans who score within the top ten on the game’s leaderboard. The top ten players will all receive a signed t-shirt from the band, whilst the top three will additionally receive a pair of tickets to the band’s Alexandra Palace headline show on November 11 as well as a meet and greet.
The lucky player who finishes at the top of the leaderboard will get all of the prizes already mentioned, in addition to a signed merch bundle, exclusive signed 7″ disc and a trip to Madame Tussauds’ Alien:Escape with the band!
