Singer and song-writer Drew Thomas has recently unveiled his new single, titled ‘Just Getting By,’ partnered with an exceptional music video for the track.

‘Just Getting By’ truly showcases Drew Thomas’ vocals, with a strong piano sound throughout and honest lyrics. The track is filled with raw emotion, which additionally adds to the nature of the single, which has been described as ‘a long time coming.’
Further, with this single, he has exceptionally mastered the balance between an old and new sound through the penning of clever hooks, verses that tell a captivating story and a voice that molds itself into both stripped back and fuller surroundings.
Speaking about the meaning behind the track, he explains:
“‘Just Getting By’ was a song I originally wrote out of frustration. I had writer’s block from working a job I hated just to pay the bills. One day, I picked up my guitar and something clicked. I ended up writing the bare bones of ‘Just Getting By’ in less than five minutes and it felt like all this negative energy that I’d been storing up had finally been released.”
In addition to the release of the single, he unveiled a music video to coincide with the track’s release. The music video manages to tell a story throughout, with the talented performer explaining that he wanted there to be a “nostalgic and moody vibe throughout to suit the track.”

Prior to embarking on a solo career in 2018, he was involved in several projects, although he has kept song-writing at the forefront of his involvement with everything he has done. Having supported artists such as Joel Baker, The Aces and also supporting Jack Maynard at his sold-out gig at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, his career continues to go from strength to strength.
