The western and eastern worlds may be colliding once again as Dua Lipa hints a possible collaboration with none other than South Korean girl group Blackpink.
After taking to her twitter account for a mini Q&A with fans, one asked about what the rest of 2018 has lined up for the singer with potential new releases. Dua teased fans by stating that there’s a few new releases and ‘…One you don’t know about but i’m excited to share with you… A couple collabs’ using a black and pink heart emoji, which are symbolic to the girl group’s name.

This may appear as a stretch but the two acts have indeed met previously, after Blackpink members Jennie and Lisa were united with the British singer back in May this year after her Seoul world tour date, where similar emojis were used for the caption.

Both Dua Lipa and Blackpink have had incredible 2018’s so far, with Dua earning herself two BRIT Awards and Blackpink making Korean girl group history after breaking into the Billboard 200 chart and UK Official Charts. A collaboration between the two artists would be an epic explosion of female empowerment.
