“I guess we always learn, but we have to make mistakes in order to learn from them.”
That’s Edith’s mantra as she releases sophomore single ‘Afterparty’. Only our second taste from the rising artist, who debuted last month with ‘Don’t Wanna Think‘, her brand of sultry pop is fast establishing itself as one to watch.

“In a perfect world there would be no mistakes, I made a few and you made them too”, she reflects before breaking into a synth-driven chorus of, “Baby, after the storm is an afterparty”.
“The song was written in less than 15 minutes,” Edith declares. “It’s really about looking back on the mistakes I did and the things I should have known, but I didn’t at the time. Going back and forth, being in a relationship that wasn’t right for me – when I wrote the song, I just thought of how much I had learnt over the last few years.”
The latest release from an upcoming EP, Edith has been rightfully likened to big names such as Dua Lipa and Mabel, as well as Euphoria Magazine picking up on “hard-hitting production that will make you think Edith has been in the game longer than she has”. If this year’s two releases are anything to go by, we could have one of the breakthrough names of the year on our hands.
