Elle Fanning and Nat Wolff turn their dreams into reality in ‘Leap!’ trailer

Félicie and Victor are taking a leap of faith when it comes to chasing their passions.

The Weinstein Company’s upcoming animated flick Leap! follows the journey of two best friends who part ways with their orphanage to pursue their dreams. 11-year-old Félicie (Elle Fanning), aspires to become a dancer in Paris, while Victor (Nat Wolff), an imaginative boy, strives to one day be a famous inventor. Félicie however, must pose as the child of a wealthy French family in order to gain admittance to the Opera Ballet School in Paris, a prestigious and competitive academy.

Real-life dancer Maddie Ziegler voices the character of Camille Le Haut, a devious classmate of Félicie’s and the film’s protagonist. Carly Rae Jepsen is part of the star-studded cast as well, portraying the role of Félicie’s mentor, Odette. Leap! will also feature original music from Jepsen, along with Demi Lovato and Sia.

Formally known as Ballerina, the movie has already premiered at the Mon Premier Festival back in October and was released in France and the U.K. late last year, accumulating close to $34M overseas.

Leap! opens in theaters April 21.
