Emmy Law is an independent pop/folk artist from Atlanta, Georgia who sings, plays piano, guitar, and the ukulele. YES. She does it all! Starting music at a young age really has its perks.
Since moving to Atlanta in 2016, Emmy made it to the final round in three of Atlanta’s top open mic competitions: Eddie’s Attic, Red Clay Theater, and the Tin Roof Acoustic Showdown.
After making it so far in those competitions, it’s clear that Emmy is a talented human being. Influenced by artists like Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Bareilles, and Christina Perri, Emmy ended up recording an EP called Fairyland.
Her music video for the first single off of the Fairyland EP, “Fairyland”, was actually shot with a vintage camera calling back to her late memory of her idealized relationship.
With lyrics like, “Take a picture and save it,” and “Give me something to hold / Give me something to cherish,” the music video shows Emmy’s relationship slowly going south. But as the video ends, the camera is still rolling, leaving the couple’s fate up to the viewer. After watching the video, what do you think their fate will be?
