We got a brand new single from Barei, this week, titled “You Number One”, and gosh are we loving it right now. The song is taken from her upcoming third studio album – yes, that’s right, Barei will be releasing a brand new album this year – talk about excitement overload!
Her music is generally very catchy and this song is just as good, if not better. The song follows up her triple singles that were released week-on-week last year, titled “Wasn’t Me”, “Forget It”, and “Worry, Worry (feat. Porta)”. It is unclear whether all four songs will appear on her new album, although we do know that her third studio LP will be released on 4 May 2018.
This song was written by Ruben Villanueva Marañón and Bárbara Reyzabal (Barei). It is another uplifting song from Barei, who is completely becoming a positive influence in music around the world. We’re done with the emotional heart-breaking songs, it’s about time we listen to uplifting, inspiring, and confident tracks, just like this one from Barei.

This new song reminds us a lot of “Don’t Need To Be You”, but instead of a fight against bullying, this one fights against your inner demons. We all need a song to raise our spirits, give us motivation, and the fire to keep going on, and this is totally one of those songs. We are all worth it, and we can all make it if we keep going for what we believe in.
Her vocals are on point and unique, as always. Barei has this relaxed style in singing that includes some incredible talk-sing lyrics that makes her iconic. No one else is doing this style of music, and she really nails it in every way. She hasn’t changed since the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, where she represented her home country of Spain with the song “Say Yay!”; she came 22nd with 77 points. She just has this incredible musical style that deserves to go global.
