Francesca Hayward is set to make her feature film debut alongside Taylor Swift, James Corden, Jennifer Hudson, Judi Dench and Ian McKellan in the upcoming and highly anticipated big-screen adaption of Andrew Lloyd Webbers hit musical CATS.
She will portray Victoria in the film directed by Tom Hooper, with a new song written by Andrew Lloyd Webber for her character.

Francesca Hayward was born in 1992 in Kenya, she moved back to the UK at when she was young.she danced at Le Serve School of Ballet and Theatre Dance in Worthing where she gained a passion for ballet. She was encouraged by a teacher at the school to audition to gain a place at White Lodge, the junior section of the Royal Ballet School. After being a Junior Associate from the age of nine, she entered the School at the age of 11 in 2003 and progressed to the Royal Ballet Upper School in 2008.
Having gained a reputation for being an amazing dancer winning numerous awards during her time including Lynn Seymour Award for Expressive Dance in 2009 and the 2010 Young British Dancer of the Year Award. She was also awarded the silver medal and Audience Choice Award at the 2010 Genee International Ballet Competition.
Founding Choreographer of The Royal Ballet Frederick Ashton was one of the most influential dance figures of the 20th century. He died on this day in 1988.

In 2010 she joined the Royal Ballet Company where she quickly rose through the ranks, She was promoted to First Artist in 2013, Soloist in 2014, First Soloist in 2015 and Principal in 2016.
In 2018 Francesca collaborated with clothing company Lululemon.

Francesca took a break from the Royal Ballet while she and fellow principal dancer Steven McRae filmed CATS. But she is now back dancing with the company.
