Ewan McGregor, the Moulin Rouge star returns to big screen with yet another new movie Jane Got a gun opposite Natalie Portman of the Black Swan fame. Jane got a Gun directed by Gavin O’Connor is an action- thriller set in the backdrop of the American West.
While Portman is seen as a delicate young woman who wants to build a new life with her husband; McGregor is portrayed as the Ultimate Baddie of the West. It would be rather exciting to see what happens when the two completely different people cross paths.
Interestingly this is not the first negative role Ewan McGregor has portrayed on big screen. The undercover negative role in Angels and Demons with Tom Hanks had earlier brought in positive reviews for his acting. It really needs to be seen how he fares in this role too.
Natalie Portman who plays the lead role of Jane is seen adapting to the cruelties of the West after her husband is attacked by a gang of brutal pursuers. Her journey from being a delicate young woman of the West to transforming herself into a baddie, to fight the wrong doers is fascinating.
The movie also stars Joel Edgerton who was seen in a prominent role in the multi-starrer Great Gatsby and Noah Emmerich last seen in Blood Ties.
The official trailer for the movie has been released on the 21st of October 2015. Due to unavoidable circumstances the release date of the movie has been scheduled and rescheduled many a times. It is tentatively scheduled to release in November this year. However, it is scheduled for a US release next year.
