We love gifting you with exclusive premieres so we’re delighted to be showcasing Russian Roulette’s amazing new single “Fight This Addiction” which features Layzie Bone, just for you. The song follows up Russian Roulette’s “California Sun” and his Jam In The Van session; whereas, Layzie Bone’s last release was an album titled Layzie Bone Presents….Smoked-Outkast.
Russian Roulette is a Los Angeles-based musician. He always puts his heart and soul into his music giving us some very real lyrics and emotional vocals, he knows that he needs to keep it at 100% for his music, and that’s exactly what he does. He’s just hitting the music scene and we’re definitely loving what he’s bringing to the table. His previous singles include “Discarded” and “California Sun”, the latter of which featured Madchild.
As for Layzie Bone, he’s a rapper who is mostly known for being in the hip-hop group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony; his real name is Steven Howse. Other names he has used in the past include L-Burna and The #1 Assassin. Within the group, they’ve had great success since they debuted in 1993. They’re probably best known for their international chart hit “Tha Crossroads” which was released in 1996. As a soloist, he’s released a total of seven studio albums, and he has featured on a number of tracks working with Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe, K-Ci, and TQ.
Talking of this song, Layzie Bone said: “Man the battle with addiction can be real serious for people, I’ve seen some crazy things happen, that’s why it’s very important to seek help with an addiction. If you know anyone that is battling with addiction, just don’t sit there, help them get help, and encourage them to get help. One Love y’all.”

Right off the bat, the lyrics hit every single listener hard. We hear, “I had to go to a dark place to write this / I had to dig down somewhere deep, that’s frightening”. It’s clear that this song is beyond emotional for Russian Roulette and just proves how real his lyrics are. His vocals are on point, with Layzie Bone coming in for some lit harmonies.
This is beyond fire, reminding us of NF’s deep lyrical music. Hip-hop music is progressing to real, honest, and emotional words and Russian Roulette is joining this wave and it’s working amazingly. Layzie Bone adds a talk-verse at the end which switches up the track to the extent where it draws the listener in, even more, hearing every single word of this song.
These two artists know exactly how to touch the hearts of their listeners with their music. The backing track is full of rhythm, giving the song to the rappers and allowing them to shine with their voices and words – this is one solid hip-hop track that we won’t be able to get out of our heads now.
