You started your career as a dancer, what made you change course to become a singer?
Dancing was always a way for me to stay out of trouble. I never saw myself just dancing for a living. Singing was something I always did but then my big brother convinced me to really take it seriously.
Who are your personal musical icons?
This answer literally changes everyday but Michael Jackson, Prince, Kanye West, 30 seconds to Mars, John Mayer, and 50 Cent are at the top today.
If you could collaborate with anyone who would you choose?
This answer also always changes everyday. Today it’s Bruno Mars, Frank Ocean, Nao, and Jai ?Paul.
When writing new music where do you look to for inspiration?
Movies, I use movies to inspire me most of the time. I try to make the Sonics and stories for my favorite movies these days.
What is the main inspiration behind your new single ‘Open Up’?
?’Open Up?’ is about allowing people to accept you for who you are; ?n?ot letting your imperfections stop you from being loved.
Do you have any touring plans lined up?
?Yes, ?2018 is gon?n?a be a movie?. ?
When you’re not performing or making music what do you enjoy spending your time doing?
I am watching movies or watching anime, or looking at home decor.
What do you hope to achieve over the course of your career?
I want to be able to influence and inspire people the same I was inspired by my creative heroes.
