Delena (Formerly Boba K) is an artist whose musical output is a breath of fresh air. Her tracks are fresh and unique and her latest offering ‘Animal’ is that one pop song everyone needs to listen to.
How excited have you been by the response to your new single ‘Animal’?
Very excited! I’ve had lots of great reactions! My views on YouTube are growing and I’m hoping it’s going to lead to many more!
What is the inspiration behind the song?
The inspiration for this song was what’s happening in the world now! I feel like a lot of people today are under a lot of pressure about what they have to be or what they have to say and do! Otherwise they won’t fit in and it’s a constant struggle. I feel that myself, Especially being a new artist on the beginning of a journey. So I wanted a song that can be strong and powerful by saying NO to all of the negativity in life and standing up for yourself!
What do you hope listeners take from the track?
That life is not meant to be scary! And if you feel that anything or anyone is making you feel down you shouldn’t be afraid to protect yourself.
What was the recording process like for this single?
It was a great experience, I loved every second of it! I got to experiment with my voice and and just wanted to sing it over and over again! I have got a great team that I have a lot of fun working with!
How would you sum up your 2018?
2018 was a great year! I wrote a lot of new music, I met new people, I got to film two music videos and one of them will be out early next year. There have been a lot of changes and most of them have been positive.
What can we expect from you next year?
I’ve been working on a lot for next year, My EP is coming early next year with a new single. I’ll also be preparing some some live performances before my album later next year.
