Belle VEX (Barry C. Fernandes) is an artist from New Bedford, Massachusetts who was introduced to music at a very young age. Trained in classical music, you would never think he’d be making the music he is today!
After practicing classical music for so long, Belle VEX ended up making edgy pop tracks with a taste of rock. As soon as we listened to the vocals on his latest single, “Make It Good For Her,” we couldn’t help but think of Lou Miceli’s vocal range from the rock band Palisades. Honestly, the vocals are what grabbed our attention along with the dance hook that came to follow. With a voice like that, we wouldn’t be surprised if you felt the same.
The video on the other hand is pretty interesting. Within the video Belle VEX is a playing a character known as Dr. Stephen Michaelsberg on a segment called How the World Works. Throughout the segment, he’s teaching viewers how to get a woman, despite the man being a “loser.” The purpose is to show the double standards in society, and how often people try to change in order to live up to those standards.
With over 9,000 followers on Twitter and Instagram alone, Belle Vex is definitely an indie artist on the rise.
