Following the casting announcements of Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston in the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, news of Ezra Miller being in the mix of the highly secretive project has emerged.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower’s Ezra Miller is reportedly in talks with Warner Brothers to play the secondary lead male role opposite Redmayne, who will be portraying Newt Scamander in his New York adventure 70 years before Harry Potter’s story even begins.
Sources told Variety that Miller is up for a character named Kredan. J.K. Rowling has been keeping the plot and characters under wraps, making fans even more anxious to see unexplored areas of their favorite magical world—and making it impossible to know who Kredan is just yet.
The spin-off is currently set for a November 2016 release, so Potterheads will have to sit tight just a little bit longer.
