Jimmy Fallon, host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, is set to receive the Elmer Award for Excellence in Comedy this Saturday. The celebration will include many festivities, such as a parade and marching band, followed by The Harvard Lampoon crowning Fallon with the official title of “Emperor of Comedy”. Jimmy will join the ranks of fellow comedians who have also received this award in the past, including such talents as Jay Leno and Robin Williams.
Jimmy will be honored for not only his work on The Tonight Show, but for his comedic work on many projects. Aside from his most current gig, Fallon is a successful writer, producer, and actor starring in such films as Jurassic World and Fever Pitch. As Jimmy settles in to his fairly new dibs as the reigning king of late night television, a title such as emperor seems to fit just right.
