Dylan O’Brien, who plays Thomas in the Maze Runner series, has reportedly been injured whilst on set of the newest addition to the trilogy.
The accident is said to have happened on Friday during the shooting of a stunt with a car, which resulted in Dylan being run over after fall off the back of the vehicle. He is thought to have several broken bones. He has allegedly been rushed to hospital in Vancouver. This is where the new film of the franchise is under production. It is thought that Dylan may have injuries to his collarbone and cheek bones.
The newest addition to the Maze Runner book turned movie series has been filming since last month and is due to be released in February of next year. Production of ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ has halted production until further notice. An investigation into the accident is underway.
Whilst it has not been fully confirmed, news spread to his committed fans who have expressed their wishes on Twitter with the hashtag #GetWellSoonDylan. It has now been tweeted over eighty thousand times. The fans are obviously worried but have remained positive and supportive until they hear further news of the accident.
Some users were optimistic. User @styydia4ever tweeted “#GetWellSoonDylan sending lots and lots of love. You are so strong. You will be fine”. Another tweeted included user @yalpcaldylanfan responding to the news. “#GetWellSoonDylan I love you babe hope you recover well”
Others seemed very worried.
