    It all looks so exciting!

The upcoming movie which features stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas is going to be a continuation of the classic, “Jumanji,” which has been a family favourite since it was first released back in 1995… We know, we feel really old now too.

    Jumanji (1995)

The synopsis of, “Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle,” which now has a December release date is a play-off of the original but with a modern twist and some surprises along the way. Instead of featuring a board game, the sequel features a game console which sucks four teens into a deadly jungle and transforms them into exaggerated avatar versions of their former selves.

In order to beat Jumanji and return to their previous lives, the group have to go on some scary adventures and discover what Robin Williams’ character Alan Parrish left behind all those years ago. They must then change the way they think about themselves and make some big decisions or else they will risk being stuck in the game forever.

“Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle,” is said to take place a whole twenty years after the original and although the cast have made some changes to the movie, they have made sure to keep the memory of the previous blockbuster and it’s leading man Robin Williams alive. “The love and respect I have for Robin is boundless,” Johnson said when the sequel was first announced. “You have my word that we will honour his name, and his character will stand alone and be immortalised in the world of Jumanji forever.”

More recently, Johnson’s co-stars Jack Black and Nick Jonas travelled to Barcelona for a press day to promote the movie and during one interview in particular they both echoed his previous statement about the late Robin Williams. “He’d love it,” Black stated. “He was a sweet man. I think he would be stoked… I wish he could have been in it, but we tried to carry on his legacy the best we could.”

Well, if this official trailer is anything to go by then we think Robin would really love it too.

You can watch the rest of Jack Black and Nick Jonas’ interview about the movie in sunny Barcelona, here.

“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” is expected to be released on 20th December so make sure you keep the date free and we will save you a seat on the front row.
